What should a small business web page cost?
Website prices are all over the place, so here is what to look for and what we charge.
Ask what is included
Before you pay anyone, ask: Who owns the domain? Is hosting included? Is email included? What does a change cost, and how long does it take? Who do I call when something breaks?
Watch out for this
Make sure your domain is in your name. If someone else owns it, you may have trouble leaving later. Also ask what happens to your page if you stop paying.
Doing it yourself
A website builder can cost less each month, but you do the work, and your time counts too. It may be a good fit if you enjoy that sort of thing.
Our price
$1,500 a year, paid once, up front. That covers the page, hosting, your domain, all your email addresses and changes within a day. You see the page before you pay.
